Book Hero thinking about your next read

LAPD Detective Renée Ballard and Harry Bosch team up for justice in this riveting ride from #1 bestselling author Michael Connelly.

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Amidst midnight chaos, LAPD Detective Renée Ballard shelters from the traditional New Year's Eve rain of lead as crowds of revellers shoot their guns into the air.

Minutes later, she's at the scene of a local mechanic's death, but that fatal bullet didn't fall from the sky. And Ballard is still on the hunt for the Midnight Men, fiendish serial rapists terrorising women and leaving no trace.

Up against deadly inertia and foundering morale in a ravaged police department, Ballard looks outside to the one detective she can count on: Harry Bosch. But even together they cannot relax their guard against predators who won't hesitate to kill.

This is unmatched crime writing at its summit.
