Charles Schulz is celebrated as a treasured artist and philosopher who captured human life with wit and spiritual simplicity. Praised by Bill Clinton as an American treasure and by Umberto Eco for his insightful microcosm of human comedy, Schulz's work endures across generations. Critics highlight the humour found in the character dynamics and Schulz’s ability to teach resilience through laughter. The Seattle Times recognises Peanuts as a pinnacle of daily comic strip tradition, and the collection is hailed as a real way of life by John Waters.
