About the Author

Laura Winstone is a artist and illustrator from Norwich, UK, who uses collage with handpainted papers to create her distinctive and original artwork for a contemporary audience. Her work often features bold colours, decorative patterns, and playful elements. Laura was awarded second prize in the prestigious Macmillan Illustration prize for Children's illustration in 2021 and was highly commended in the V&A illustration awards. Her first book, The UnOfficial Guide to the Ancient Egyptian After Life, was published in May 2022 by Cicada.
