The first comprehensive examination of the Book of Enoch and its prophecies, origins, and history

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

The Books of Enoch Revealed offers the first comprehensive examination of the Book of Enoch, exploring its prophecies, origins, and history.

Examining in depth Enoch’s full story of the Watchers, the fallen angels who came to Earth and shared corrupting forbidden knowledge, this work details how Enoch was a vital component of Second Temple messianic Judaism, speculative Jewish mysticism, the Kabbalah, and Gnostic mythology.

The book investigates the entire history of the Book of Enoch and its significant esoteric offshoots, including the later 2 Enoch, also known as the Slavonic "Book of the Secrets of Enoch," and the Hebrew "Book of Enoch" (3 Enoch). Said to be written by the prophet Enoch, great-grandfather of Noah, the Book of Enoch was preserved mainly in the Bible of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, where it was considered canonical.

Tobias Churton reveals the profound influence of the Book of Enoch on world thought over the past two millennia. He explains how Enoch was taken to Heaven to receive personal instruction from God, and he clarifies Enoch’s apocalyptic and sometimes sensational prophecies. Churton also refutes many errors of understanding about the Book, providing an insightful look into its impact on Jewish mysticism and its role in developing key religious philosophies.

Informed by ongoing studies of the Dead Sea Scrolls, this book is an essential resource for anyone seeking to understand the significance and legacy of the Book of Enoch.
