Book Hero Magic summarised reviews for this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! HOW HAS THIS BEEN REVIEWED?

Tess of the d'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy is generally praised for its poignant exploration of fate, class, and social norms in Victorian society, although it's often debated for its portrayal of tragedy and the moral dilemmas faced by its protagonist. Readers frequently comment on Hardy's vivid descriptions of the English countryside and his deep sympathy for Tess's plight. Some view it as a critically powerful critique of the societal standards of its time.
