Tarnanthi 2015 Catalogue

Tarnanthi accompanies the inaugural Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art and a series of exhibitions held at the Art Gallery of South Australia and partner organisations across Adelaide and South Australia.

With over 300 artists and 25 partners, this publication features essays by renowned curators, writers, artists and academics on each and every artist and their exhibition or event. Fully illustrated with photographs of the artists and their works of art, this is a publication that celebrates the diversity of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture.

Practices range from photographs, moving image, printmaking, painting and drawing on canvas, board and paper, to sculpture including punu (wood), glass, weaving and ready-mades, textiles, performance, immersive installation and aromatic portraits.
