About the Author

A. M. DASSU is an internationally acclaimed author of 13 children's books, including Boy, Everywhere, Fight Back and Kicked Out, which have collectively been listed for over 55 awards, including the Carnegie Medal, Waterstones Children's Book Prize and Week Junior Book Award. Dassu is also a director of Inclusive Minds, a patron of The Other Side of Hope literary magazine, and contributes widely to literacy and inclusivity initiatives. Through her award-winning fiction, non-fiction and advocacy, she champions underrepresented voices and inspires young readers to confront prejudice with courage and compassion.Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC), founded in January 1996 by then-Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, is the UK's largest anti-racism education charity.
