About the Author

Abigail Wheatley joined Usborne Publishing in 2002 after completing a doctorate on medieval castles. She's still writing books about castles, but has branched out into areas such as science, art and cookery. She lives in a little book-filled house in Kent, with views of a real castle from her bedroom window. Samara Hardy has always loved to draw. Unfortunately for her parents, this was often on their walls with her mother's lipstick. Realizing she might make a career out of this she studied illustration at Falmouth University and, since graduating in 2014, has worked with clients across the globe on picture books, homewares, greetings cards and more. She currently lives and works from her home studio in a small village just outside Tunbridge Wells.
