Studio KO: A Few Interiors explores the remarkable journey and creations of Studio KO, among the most sought-after talents in contemporary architecture and interior design. Olivier Marty and Karl Fournier, the visionary duo behind Studio KO, dared to deviate from the conventional path by launching their practice even before completing their education.

Their remarkable work quickly gained acclaim for its minimalist architecture set against breathtaking landscapes and interiors rooted deeply in history and culture. This unique approach has drawn an extraordinary circle of clients, including André Balazs for his first European address in London, and Pierre Bergé, who entrusted them with the landmark Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech, Morocco.

Today, Studio KO are celebrated worldwide for a contemporary vernacular style that feels both radical and deeply rooted. This volume showcases nine inspiring projects, including the renovation of a traditional Moroccan house in Marrakech, villas on the French Mediterranean coast in Cassis and Corsica, and Fournier and Marty’s private apartment in Paris. The collection also features the colourful Flamingo Estate in Los Angeles and the iconic Chiltern Firehouse, highlighted in the epilogue.

The atmospheric, bohemian photography of François Halard creates a poetic dialogue with Studio KO’s interiors. This intimate book reveals the essence of their creative attitude: sophisticated spaces that blend minimal, graphic architecture with local cultural elements, crafting environments that feel both innovative and infused with layers of history. These spaces are brimming with subtle references to design lore and a profound respect for the spirit of the places they inhabit.

    The Iliad
When Emily Wilson's translation of The Odyssey appeared in 2017—revealing the ancient poem in a contemporary idiom that was "fresh, unpretentious and lean" (Madeline Miller, Washington Post)—critics lauded it as "a revelation" (Susan Chira, New York Times) and "a cultural landmark" (Charlotte Higgins, Guardian) that would forever change how Homer is read in English. Now Wilson has returned with an...

At the centre of that vision was Noel Crombie—percussionist, performer and the...
