Sliver is the ultimate fin de siècle horror novel – Stephen King

Kay Norris, a successful book editor, moves into the affluent Carnegie Hill district of Manhattan, into an apartment in a slender high-rise. A man watches her. He watches her unpack, watches her make her bed. He owns the building: a shocking secret is concealed within the walls.

Sliver is a sinuous, erotic thriller that explores the menacing evil behind the glittering façade of Manhattan's skyscrapers; a hypnotic story of obsession and the temptation of ultimate power.

Book Hero Magic summarised reviews for this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! HOW HAS THIS BEEN REVIEWED?

Ira Levin's Sliver is a gripping horror novel that captures the unnerving aspects of trendy urban life, especially concerning apartment living. The vivid and realistic characters heighten the sense of dread, and the narrative's sleek and effective style keeps readers thoroughly engaged. Receiving praise for its page-turning quality, the novel is noted for maintaining Levin's reputation for crafting compelling thrillers.
