Jenny Sampson's follow-up to her acclaimed collection of tintype skateboarder portraits (Skaters, Daylight 2017) focuses on female skateboarders. Although historically a male-dominated sport, there have always been girls in the skateboarding landscape. By turning her lens on these members of the community all over California, Washington, and Oregon, Sampson hopes to increase visibility and honour these girls, young and older, who have been breaking down this gender wall with their skater girl power.
