Description

William Shakespeare's most famous stories are brought to life for a new generation!

This cleverly adapted, wittily illustrated book is the ideal introduction to Shakespeare. Shakespeare's Tales Retold for Children by Samantha Newman reworks the text to retain many of Shakespeare's own inimitable turns of phrase, while simplifying and clarifying the language and plots to make the stories accessible to children.

Also included is a profile on Shakespeare and background information about the plays.

Young readers will:

Giggle at the slapstick comedy in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Enjoy the absurd comedy of Twelfth Night.
Thrill to the supernatural drama of Macbeth.
Swoon to the timeless tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.

A great gift for children aged 7+.
