RO-SÉ

RO-SÉ is a hybrid monograph/artist book featuring the work of Nathalie Du Pasquier. It blurs the line between an exhibition catalogue and an artist book, offering a unique blend of photographs of Du Pasquier's artworks, installation views from her solo show at MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome), and extracts from texts by various writers and figures fundamental to her practice.

This publication is released in conjunction with Nathalie Du Pasquier's solo exhibition at MACRO, which will later travel to the MRAC (Musée Régional d'Art Contemporain Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée). It serves as an extension of the exhibition itself, with pages conceived as exhibition spaces that embrace associations and combinations. This allows for a deeper understanding and exploration of Du Pasquier's work and her imagination at large.

RO-SÉ provides a glimpse into the possibilities offered by Du Pasquier's oeuvre, which can be approached, interpreted, and experienced from a multitude of perspectives. It is the vastness and variety of her work, as well as her inspirations, that make its exploration—and, by extension, this publication—nonexhaustive.

This publication is part of an ongoing study of her career and documents her exhibition at MACRO, titled "Campo di Marte," her most extensive show to date. The exhibition brought together over one hundred artworks, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, and cabins, spanning from the early 1980s to the present day.
