Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Nejat Sati, B.A., M.A., Dokuz Eylül University, Izmir, works as an independent professional artist in Istanbul and has participated in artist-in-residence programs in Turkey, Germany, and the Netherlands. Since the 2000s, he has participated in numerous international exhibitions, biennials, and triennials.

Nejat Sati's abstract work incorporates a variety of techniques and media, including painting, performance, drawings, sculpture, collaborative works, and site-specific installations, often using experimental materials. In his enigmatic paintings, Sati explores cultural hybridity and transculturality as basic conditions of our globalised lives.

Sati's vibrant, large-scale recent works layer colour fragments with applications and scrapings of impasto and phosphoric material, expressing complex psychological histories and emotions. The immersive nature of colour is fully illustrated.

The book comprises nearly a hundred images from the past ten years, with an emphasis on his most recent work series. These colour-intensive works, which could be perceived as reflections of the layers of the artist's subconsciousness, despite being produced simultaneously across different time periods, are interconnected and in continuous dialogue with each other.
