Description
Run! Hide! My mum is a lioness and she's on the prowl.
This hilarious tale about a boy with a wild imagination and his loving family comes from the exciting creative duo Swapna Haddow and Dapo Adeola.
Is Mum a lioness? She loves her 'cubs', she can run faster than anything, and she can catch you in a single pounce for cuddles and kisses. She always makes sure you can hear her incredibly loud, proud roar. What else could Mum be but a lioness?
But sometimes, especially when her young ones are upset or scared, a lovely, warm, protective lioness embrace is just what is needed.
A brilliantly funny follow-up to My Dad is a Grizzly Bear, written by Swapna Haddow, prize-winning author of the Dave Pigeon series, and illustrated by the talented and prize-winning artist, Dapo Adeola, illustrator of Look Up! and Clean Up!

About the Author
Swapna Haddow trained as a doctor, but after discovering she didn't like blood, decided on a career change and wrote her first book Dave Pigeon: How to Deal With Bad Cats and Keep (most of) Your Feathers, which won the Greenhouse Funny Prize. Swapna now lives in New Zealand with her husband, their son and their dog. You can usually find Swapna writing, reading or eating Jaffa Cakes. Sometimes you might find her doing all three at the same time. Dapo Adeola is a young illustrator and character designer who is new to the picture book world. His first book, Look Up! was written by Nathan Bryon and published by Puffin in June 2019 to great acclaim. Born in Britain and of Nigerian heritage, Dapo's work tends to revolve around creating characters and imagery that challenge gender norms and equality politics in a fun and upbeat manner.
