Follow Michael Caputo's tutorials for every skill level to make gorgeous quilts and patchwork with 25 modern designs in an array of colourful fabrics.
As well as being satisfying and enjoyable to make, quilting and patchwork projects are a great way of being kind to the planet by upcycling scraps of fabric. Here, Michael Caputo shows you how to use this flourishing and versatile craft to make 25 modern and innovative designs.
If youβre a beginner, get started with a simple project such as a seat cushion or some bright coasters and placemats, then practise your skills further with a wonderful colour wheel mini quilt.
There are full-size quilts which are perfect for more confident quilters, as you can really let your creativity take charge in choosing the fabrics and colours. And donβt forget the reverse β one of Michaelβs trademarks is that the wrong side of the quilt is just as splendid as the right side.
The templates are included and there is a techniques section, as well as step-by-step artworks, to guide you. All you need to do is choose some fun fabrics and youβre ready to begin these inventive makes.

About the Author
Michael Caputo studied Advertising and Graphic Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and became a designer of childrenβs novelty books, first for HarperCollins and then at Penguin, where he designed his own prize-winning pop-up books. He was introduced to quilting by his mother, a keen quilter, and he has taught quilting at The Institute and at Ray Stitch, both in London, and at shops and exhibitions in the States. When he is not working on his house project, renovating an 1860s townhouse in Jersey City, NJ, he is designing and making quilts for magazines, fabric manufacturers, friends and family.Β
