In Doubleday, he explores the archaeological dimensions of photography by superimposing his own photographs precisely over historical views of nineteenth and twentieth century buildings in Berlin. This allows him to leap from the past to the present: nineteenth century flâneurs on Alexanderplatz encounter today's tourists, ruins become visible beneath the reconstructed copies of the buildings, and a park appears in place of Monbijou Palace.
