Description
Madi: Once Upon a Time in the Future introduces us to Madi Preston, a veteran of Britain’s elite special operations J-Squad unit, who is burnt out and up to her eyeballs in debt. She and her team have retired from the military but find themselves trapped, having to pay to service and maintain the technology implanted in them during their years of service.
Now working for British conglomerate Liberty Inc as mercenaries, they sell their unique ability to be remote-controlled by specialists while in the field. Despite their efforts, their debts only grow as they sustain injuries completing missions.
We join Madi at a pivotal moment as she decides she’s had enough. She opts for an off-the-books job intended to earn her enough to pay off her and her sister's debts. However, when the piece of tech she’s supposed to steal turns out to be a child, and she suddenly blacks out, Madi finds herself on the run from everyone she’s ever known.
