About the Author

Shirley Le is a Vietnamese-Australian writer from Yagoona, Western Sydney. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University and has been a Creative Producer at Sweatshop Literacy Movement since 2020. Shirley's short stories and essays have been published in Overland, SBS Voices, Griffith Review, Meanjin, The Guardian and The Sydney Morning Herald. Shirley's debut novel, Funny Ethnics (Affirm Press, 2023) was shortlisted for The Age Book of the Year Award and the Readings Prize.
