Jane Eyre
The next book in the new collection of Young Adult classics. Jane Eyre is a classic Victorian novel in a beautiful new package.
This classic novel challenges conventions of desire, family, class and just how much of our identity we are willing to give up for those we love.
An orphaned young woman, Jane, suffers an unhappy childhood. As a result of her trials, she becomes a strong and practical young woman. Her maturity leads to her being offered a position as the Governess at Thornfield Hall.
Upon arriving, Jane meets two very different men who challenge her sensibilities: the clergyman St. John Rivers; and the owner of Thornfield Hall, the mysterious and secretive Edward Rochester.
The classic Victorian novel Jane Eyre challenges contemporary conventions of love, family, class and desire; and ultimately questions how much of our identity we are willing to give up for those we love.

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë is often celebrated for its strong-willed and intelligent protagonist, Jane, whose journey through love and adversity captures readers' imaginations. Critics praise the novel for its exploration of class, gender, and identity, as well as its Gothic elements and emotional depth. Many reviewers appreciate Brontë's rich prose and the book's timeless appeal, despite it being categorised atypically as a children's book.
