Jabari Tries
Jabari Tries is about a boy named Jabari who is inventing a machine that will fly all the way across the yard. But turning it from CRASH to WHOOSH will require grit, patience, and perhaps even a little help from his sister.
Jabari is determined to build a flying machine in his backyard. "It'll be easy. I don't need any help," he confidently claims. However, when his invention doesn't work, Jabari finds himself frustrated. Luckily, his dad is there to provide encouragement, and his little sister, Nika, is ready to assist, equipped with fairy wings and all.
With the heartwarming father-child relationship reminiscent of Jabari Jumps and captivating mixed-media illustrations, Gaia Cornwallβs story beautifully illustrates how perseverance and flexibility can turn an inventive thought into a brilliant reality.
