About the Author

Rhiannon Archard is a Welsh illustrator of children's books.

She studied Illustration at Camberwell UAL and is currently based in a little market town in the beautiful Kentish countryside. Her work combines traditional and digital techniques to create her colourful and painterly illustrations. If the opportunity arises, she would play and experiment with all the media and art processes known to man; instead, she has narrowed it down to a few favourites: Gouache, watercolour, colour pencils, lino printing and ceramics.

Rhiannon really wanted to be an acrobat and join the circus when she was little, but felt she lacked the elegance and flexibility necessary. So she focussed on her other passions and strengths like drawing, painting and making up magical worlds to inhabit in her mind.
