I Call the Ocean Wardan
Explore the sandy shore and crashing waves of the ocean in this dual-language picture book in Noongar and English.

From the maamong (whales) out deep, to the maar (wind) in your hair and the scavenging djerinkarra (seagulls) to the warm and smooth boya (rocks), this picture book is a celebration of all things beachy, and a delightful introduction to a First Nations language.
I Call the Ocean Wardan offers a refreshing perspective on the natural world and the vitality of cultural storytelling through its beautiful illustrations and engaging narrative.
