Fruits Basket Collector's Edition, Vol. 6 by Natsuki Takaya immerses readers in the complexities of Tohru's summer break spent at the Sohmas' vacation home. What should have been a joyous time is overshadowed by the presence of Akito, as Yuki and the others are drawn away daily for meetings with the zodiac leader. Adding to the tension, Yuki begins to behave strangely.

While grappling with these concerns, Tohru meets the Horse of the zodiac, bringing a new mystery: could Akito be the Rooster? The return to school marks the assembly of the new student council, engaging Yuki and his circle. Seizing the opportunity, Tohru makes a secret visit to Kazuma, seeking a solution to liberate the Sohma family from their "curse." However, Rin unexpectedly stands ready to thwart Tohru's plans.
