In today's ever-changing world, the mental health challenges youth face have become increasingly pronounced. The need for support is more critical than ever before, but many parents may find themselves ill-equipped to identify and address these concerns effectively.

In From Surviving to Vibing, youth mental health experts Dr. Caroline Danda and Carron Montgomery draw upon their extensive experience to provide a valuable mental health resource for teens, tweens, young adults, and their caregivers. They offer essential insights to recognize and address mental health challenges while fostering open communication and strong connections.

This book brings what many learn in a therapist's office to those who may lack access to professional resources and guides readers toward a path of thriving rather than merely surviving. Filled with relevant information, practical strategies, and thought-provoking questions, it empowers readers to navigate emotional distress, discover their core values, and make choices that work for them to build meaningful relationships and improve self-confidence.

Parents will also find invaluable insights into the world their children inhabit, gaining a deeper understanding of the mental health issues impacting them. While adults may recall their own struggles with insecurity and vulnerability during their younger years, this book highlights the amplified impact of factors like the pandemic and social media on today's youth. Bridging the generational gap, it fosters shared understanding, strengthens connections, and encourages open discussions.

This book is a vital resource. From Surviving to Vibing offers a beacon of hope for parents and caregivers, providing the tools they need to support their children in confronting life's most daunting challenges. Let this book be your guide towards a brighter, more resilient future for the young minds that shape tomorrow.

About the Author

Carron Montgomery is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and Level II trained EMDR therapist. Carron utilizes a client-centered approach that includes the importance of collaborating with each client's team of professionals and primary caregivers. At the beginning of the pandemic, she saw a huge need for education and support that was not being addressed. She trained local school counselors and began writing to provide additional resources to the community and as a voice for her clients. Her passion for community, connection, and supporting everyone's well-being is evident throughout her work and The Invisible Riptide series.

Dr. Caroline Danda is a clinical psychologist in private practice who specializes in working with children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, and other emotional or behavioral regulation problems. She loves working with children and teens who have "big emotions". She has a passion for normalizing mental and emotional well-being and helping youth and their families not only resolve current challenges but also develop foundational skills for thriving. The partnership with Carron Montgomery is a natural extension of her passion, allowing her to bring her wisdom and experience outside of her office to fill the gaps.

David Gentile Is a beautiful artist and soul. He retired and found his love of drawing while he was the president of BCBSKC. A coworker entered him in a drawing contest and his hobby turned into a passion. After his retirement David began doodling, as he calls it, for fun and a creative outlet.
