Folly 004 is the fourth issue of the independent New Zealand literary journal that Whitcoulls pulled from its shelves and everyone else sold out of.
This issue turns its attention to desire, relationships, and what it currently costs to be a person. Inside you will find fiction, essays, poetry, and visual art from New Zealand and international contributors, chosen on the principle that serious literature should disturb the reader and entertain.
Folly operates on a single editorial premise: discomfort is not danger. The work published is politically alert, sexually frank, formally varied, and designed to entertain the modern dopamine-fried brain.
Print-first and beautifully made, the journal is built to be owned and kept, not consumed and discarded. Each issue boasts approximately 120 pages and includes full-colour art reproduction.
