Festival of Colors by Kabir Sehgal and Surishtha Sehgal is celebrated for its vibrant portrayal of the Hindu festival Holi, through the excitement of siblings Chintoo and Mintoo. The book's simple, repetitive sentences and the colourful illustrations highlight the joy and process of preparing and celebrating the festival. The story not only introduces young readers to primary and secondary colours but also conveys themes of new beginnings, friendship, and forgiveness.
