Uncle Proctor left an odd inheritance for Lando and Abby. In his journal, they read about then recreate his experiments into what he says should be called distance perception. They find danger, the trapped uncle, and his bag of gold coins.
Falling into the Distance explores the intriguing concept of "distance perception," as Uncle Proctor once wrote: "Why call it depth unless one can fall there?"
The mysterious passing of creepy old Uncle Proctor left Orlando and Abigail with a peculiar inheritance—the contents of his library. Amongst its many books was his journal, detailing his experiments into the perceptions and trickery of the human mind.
Could Proctor have really hidden piles of gold? Lando and Abby find themselves in desperate need of at least one gold coin. Driven by necessity, Lando embarks on a quest to replicate these experiments, endangering himself, their children, and even the family dog in the process.
As Lando's meddling with reality unveils a concealed world, they discover their Uncle Proctor trapped within it, alongside a bag of gold coins. Despite being found, Proctor urges Lando to rescue himself and his children, leaving him behind. He implores Lando to return the gold to his beloved niece, Abigail, who once danced in his grand foyer as a child, thinking no one was watching.
