Description
Fasten your seat belts and hang on tight. In Blue's own words, "it will be a rough and tough ride at times. Some events you may consider a tale but I assure they are definitely true. I lived through it all – the pain and the glory."
Told with intelligence, honesty and a wicked sense of humour, Early Shades of Blue is the first in a series of books about his colourful and varied life. It will take you on a wild ride through his early childhood in the rural community around Hastings, New Zealand, life at schools where he was constantly bullied and punished because he struggled to fit in, and then working as a back-country shepherd, agricultural contractor, mechanic, speedway driver and much, much more.
That he survived the many early adventures and hair-raising (literally) disastrous scrapes he writes about is nothing short of miraculous.
