Crack the Case: Mysteries at the Museum
Grab your Detective Torch and start solving the art world's greatest mystery in Crack the Case: Mysteries at the Museum, an interactive puzzle-book filled with creative activities and gamified puzzle-solving.
Crack the Case is the brand-new interactive book series in which YOU solve mysteries and stop dastardly deeds with the help of your trusty Detective Torch. Shine the images on every page to create and crack puzzles, uncovering clues in a race against time.
In Mysteries at the Museum, take on the role of renowned detective Inspector Renoir as you chase down a notorious art thief. This book contains three individual mysteries and over 25 puzzles, all part of a single thrilling story. Start the story, slot the Image Disc into your Detective Torch, and get cracking!
On each page, you'll find a different puzzle for you and your torch to solve. With the torch switched on, rotate the disc to project the right image. On and off the page, use it to unlock a safe, shine a light on suspicious items, or even examine fingerprints at the scene of the crime. In the hands of an expert detective, there's no end to what your torch can tackle!
But the torch isn't the only tool in your crime-fighting toolkit: the sturdy book-box doubles up as a map of the famed art museum where the heist takes place. This will come in handy on select puzzles that require a birds'-eye view, so you have everything you need to unravel the mystery and catch the thief.
Alongside the puzzles and the detective story, you'll find non-fiction entries on real-life art heists, crime-fighting techniques, and even infamous blunders by criminal not-quite-masterminds!
Crack the Case: Mysteries at the Museum is a one-of-a-kind interactive adventure that is sure to appeal to gamers, codebreakers, and detectives in the making, complete with timeless illustrations and memorable characters. The game is afoot - will you take up the chase?

About the Author
Thea Hay is a London-based fiction and non-fiction author and editor of children's books. Her love of books has taken over her whole life and she has a room full of books from floor to ceiling, preferring the 'real thing' over an electronic version. During the rare times she is not writing, she loves all things nature, from pruning and preening in the garden to long walks in wild locations with her husband, two children and small dog, Harvey!Facundo Aguirre is an illustrator from Quilmes, Argentina. He originally earned his degree in public accounting and spent time in Buenos Aires in the world of economics. After four years as a credit analyst, Facundo made the life-changing decision to move to New Zealand in search of new experiences. This is when he first discovered his passion for drawing. It became his sanctuary and his source of calmness. Facundo finds great joy in sketching with black ink and creating intricate illustrations with an abundance of details. His illustration influences include Martín Hanford, Sole Otero, Thé Tjong-Khing, and Mattias Adolfsson, among many others. Facundo currently lives and works in Brussels, where he also collaborates with a fellow illustrator to organise weekly gatherings for artists called "Artist Coworking".
