Christmas is the most magical time of the year, and Old Bear is excited to spend it with her friends! If only these spindly spiders would stay out of the way! Morning dawns and Bear is distraught - what will her friends think?! But when the spiders' beautiful work is revealed in the sunlight to the party guests, it evokes the magical Christmas feeling Bear was craving all along.

About the Author

Pippa Goodhart is the author of over a hundred children's books, including the prize-winning picture book You Choose, and the Winnie the Witch series which she writes under the pen name of Laura Owen. She trained as a teacher and worked for many years in bookselling before becoming a mother and a writer.

Ema Malyauka is a children's book illustrator born in Belarus, and currently living in cozy town Alkmaar, the Netherlands. She has a large collection of sketchbooks that is constantly growing. Ema loves experimenting, finding new materials, and creating textures. She has drawn for various publishing houses and companies. She is a self-taught illustrator who is in love with art.
