Awkward

Awkward introduces us to Penelope—Peppi—Torres, a shy new transfer student who desires nothing more than to fit in and find a place among her fellow artistically inclined souls. The last thing she wants is to stand out.

However, things don't go as planned when she literally bumps into Jamie Thompson, a quiet, geeky, friendly but friendless fellow student. When Peppi is teased as the "Nerder's Girlfriend," her first embarrassed instinct is to push him away and run. Later, she feels guilty and wants dearly to apologise for the incident, but she always ends up losing her nerve.

Despite having no initial reason to speak to him, Peppi's path continues to cross with Jamie's in unexpected ways. Will these two opposites ever see eye-to-eye, let alone become friends?
