Focusing on the West African nations of Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Benin, this landmark publication sheds light on shared issues and concerns as architects sought to adapt, adopt, or reinvent the idiom of modernism for their specific cultural, political, and economic purposes.
