All the Seas of the World

The new brilliant novel from the international bestselling author

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description
'Kay is a genius' Brandon Sanderson

All the Seas of the World returns to the near-Renaissance world of A Brightness Long Ago and Children of Earth and Sky. International bestselling author Guy Gavriel Kay weaves a tale of vengeance, power, and love.

On a dark night along a lonely stretch of coast, a small ship, the Silver Wake, sends two people ashore to a stony strand. Their purpose is assassination. Hired by two of the most dangerous men alive, their actions will ripple across many lives, both great and small, potentially altering the world's balance of power.

One of those arriving on that night strand is a woman abducted by corsairs as a child. Escaping that fate years later, she now seeks her own path, driven by revenge. Alongside her, bringing the boat to meet the secretive landing party, is a merchant who recalls being exiled as a child with his family due to their faith.

Guy Gavriel Kay returns triumphantly to the brilliantly evoked near-Renaissance world of his recent novels, applying his signature 'quarter turn to the fantastic'. He presents readers with a vivid, memorable cast of characters in a tale of vengeance, power, and love, intertwining with deeply contemporary themes of exile, loss, and memory.

With a narrative fuelled by page-turning drama, All the Seas of the World offers moving reflections on choices, fate, and the random events that shape our lives.
