Wolf loves reading. There's just one problem. The more he reads, the more he starts to realise something... Every book has a hero; the heroes are handsome, tough and strong; and most importantly, the heroes are never, ever wolves.
But when a giant comes stomping into the library one day, can Wolf find the courage to speak up? Because maybe heroes don't have to be handsome, tough and strong. Maybe true heroes are kind and brave - just like Wolf!
A Hero Called Wolf is an uplifting story set in a magical fairytale world. From Lucy Rowland and Ben Mantle, the creators of Little Red Reading Hood and The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Book.

Lucy Rowland grew up in Cheltenham and gained a degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Reading before becoming a children's speech and language therapist in South London where she now lives. Lucy has loved reading and listening to poetry from a young age and has turned her passion into writing picture book stories with quirky characters and irresistible rhythms - as seen in Jake Bakes a Monster Cake, Pirate Pete and His Smelly Feet and Little Red Reading Hood. Ben Mantle studied Animation at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design before working as an animator on projects including Tim Burton's Corpse Bride and a BAFTA winning CBeebies website. Ben illustrated Little Red Reading Hood and is the creator of The Best Birthday Present Ever! (winner of the 2016 Dundee Picture Book Award), The Best Christmas Present Ever! and the Dinostars series.
