This board book has two spines—one on each side—so that the book opens outward left and right. Plus, each page is shaped like a number from 1 to 10! As new stars appear in the darkening night sky, count them along with the rhyming text:
Just ONE star in the sky.
TWO stars now in the blink of an eye.
Twinkle, twinkle number THREE.
Then FOUR stars for us to see....
Then, in order to close the book correctly, count backward while the sun rises again:
The stars have aligned and there are TEN.
A necklace of NINE glisten like gems.
A shower of EIGHT put on a show.
