Heart Gear, Vol. 3 unfolds in a postapocalyptic future where a human girl and an android traverse a devastated world, seeking a mythical utopia to safeguard those they cherish.

Nearly 200 years following the annihilation of humanity in World War III, Roue experiences bliss exploring the remnants of civilization alongside her “uncle,” a robot named Zett. However, when their serene existence is compromised, Roue must rely on the enigmatic robot, Chrome, to reunite her family.

Hildr, a command-class military gear, has triumphed in 50 consecutive battles within the warrior coliseum of Valhalla, now facing her 51st challenger—Chrome. As they clash, Roue is forced to observe helplessly from a storage room in the lower levels. Meanwhile, Valhalla's ruler crafts a malevolent plot. Unbeknownst to Roue, she holds Valhalla's fate, with danger stealthily approaching.
