A heartwarming picture book about a young girl who learns that her dad's wheelchair doesn't define what he can or can't do - he's simply her amazing dad.
My Dad Can by Stephen Lightbown captures the delightful bond between Iris and her inspiring father. Iris knows her dad is the best; he blows up her floaties for swimming, shields her eyes during scary movies, and offers the cosiest lap for warm cuddles.
Her dad is truly amazing.
However, when a little boy points out his wheelchair at the park, Iris feels momentarily sad. Her dad gently reminds her that he's just like everyone else, regardless of his wheelchair.
This heartwarming picture book reassures young readers that a wheelchair doesn't define what someone can or can't do โ Iris's dad will always be her incredible father.
