Over five Continents, armed with nothing but stubborn determination and tatty maps Miles Morland trades deskbound comfort for breakneck adventure in a series of helter-skelter bike journeys that take him around the globe, twice.
In his mid 60s, with zero mechanical knowledge and maximum audacity, Miles rides from London to Istanbul during the collapse of communism, then traces Che Guevara’s legendary path across the Andes. No technical skills, no backup plan—just raw courage and an insatiable hunger for the unknown.
With the Andes and Alps under his belt, Miles heads off to the Pyrenees and Rockies, the Nullarbor Plain in Australia, around New Zealand, Iceland and Japan, and through Death Valley and South India. He finally hangs up his leathers in his mid 80s.
The Hopeless Biker is a testament to the spirit of adventure and the relentless pursuit of new horizons.
