A prestige treatment of Inoue’s epic samurai series with bonus content, colour pages, storyboard samples, and more!
Vagabond (VIZBIG Edition), Vol. 11 by Takehiko Inoue immerses readers in the riveting and tumultuous life of Miyamoto Musashi, the legendary samurai known for his unmatched prowess and stoic philosophy. This volume captures a crucial period in Musashi's relentless pursuit of enlightenment, where his path is fraught with peril, moral dilemmas, and introspection.
In this edition, Musashi finds himself at a pivotal juncture after a harrowing battle where he single-handedly bested seventy warriors from the Yoshioka clan. This monumental conflict leaves Musashi questioning the very nature of his existence and the path he must tread. Does he move towards a life of peace and human connection, or is he doomed to be seduced by the darkness and violence that a life by the sword demands?
The narrative deepens as Musashi encounters the formidable master, Ito Ittosai. This chance meeting with one of the era’s most ferocious swordsmen compels Musashi to confront his own philosophy and the inevitable reality of his chosen path. The interaction with Ito Ittosai serves as a catalyst, challenging Musashi’s convictions and pushing him further into the world of the sword.
In addition to the engrossing storyline, this VIZBIG edition offers readers a wealth of bonus content. Enjoy beautifully restored colour pages that bring Inoue's stunning artwork to life with unparalleled vibrancy. The edition also includes exclusive storyboard samples, providing a fascinating glimpse into the creative process behind this epic series.
This collection not only celebrates Inoue's extraordinary storytelling and artistic skills but also delves into the timeless quest for meaning and self-discovery that defines Musashi’s journey. It's an essential addition to any manga enthusiast’s library and a profound exploration of the warrior's path.
