About the Author
Tamsin Mather (Author)
Professor Tamsin Mather has been working as a volcanologist for over 20 years. Her first passion was studying volcanic gases and how they change our environment. She also studies how to predict volcanic eruptions better, and volcanoes on other planets.
David Pyle (Author)
Professor David Pyle has been fascinated by volcanoes since he saw his first volcano in Chile when he was 8 years old. He is an expert on reading the stories of past eruptions from the rocks and ash left behind. His favourite volcano is Santorini in Greece.
Daniel Long (Illustrator)
Daniel Long graduated from Norwich University of the Arts in 2014 and has been working as an illustrator in Norfolk since then. Daniel's work is heavily influenced by mid-century design, architecture, and fashion which can be easily seen in his use of colour palettes and choice of subject matter. His work is all created digitally in Photoshop and Illustrator using vectors. He often adds lots of textures and shading to add depth and intensity to an illustration.
When not illustrating, Daniel can be found procrastinating, playing guitar, or making things out of wood.
