The Bugle Call: Song of War, Vol. 4 by Mozuku Sora presents the journey of a young bugler with supernatural powers who becomes engulfed in an epic struggle for the fate of the world. Cry havoc and sound the song of war!
In Arboral Year 1294, the world is dominated by nine massive towers known as the Spires—remnants of an advanced civilisation. These towers are filled with lost secrets and powerful knowledge that nations strive to possess. Luca, a bugler in a mercenary company, yearns to leave the battlefield behind and become a true musician, a maestro. However, as one of the enigmatic Branch-hexed, and gifted with the unique ability to see the sound of his instrument, Luca finds himself reluctantly drawn into a war of immense proportions.
The Pontiff’s expedition to Gallia has reached the capital of Limoges, a city entrenched by the forces of the Looking Glassists and defended by the Looking Glass herself. Only Zoe possesses the power to attempt to defeat her. If Zoe fails, the entire operation is at risk. Although the Looking Glass shows no mercy to her foes, she recognises a part of herself in Zoe. During the battle, Luca encounters a mysterious interloper and uncovers more secrets of the Branched, including a new phase of their development—the Flowering.
