Let's Talk: Resilience are cards designed to improve communication and confidence. These cards help to develop resilience skills and explore different strategies for being resilient in challenging situations.
Let's Talk: Resilience can be used with adults and children aged 7+. They are suitable for use with individuals or in small groups, in settings such as school (1-1 learning support, circle time), youth groups, child psychology sessions, family therapy, personal development and confidence-building workshops, adult training sessions, and at home.
The cards are adaptable and can be used for separate sessions, a full workshop, or ongoing use. They are divided into five sections:
- Discussion: To encourage thinking about resilience.
- Quotes: Place the cards face up and ask each person to choose their favourite and explain why, or take turns to read a card to the group.
- Experience: Participants share their own experiences of being resilient.
- Think Again: Change unhelpful thinking patterns into helpful ones. Read the situation and quote on the card, convert the unhelpful thought into the helpful one provided, and suggest alternative thoughts or statements.
- Strength Cards: Positive self-messages.
- Situation Cards: Various scenarios to consider.
The set includes 78 cards, along with instructions and ideas.
