A chaotic comedy of high school courtship between an awkward girl and a dorky boy too dense to realise they are already in love with each other.

Akira Failing in Love, Vol. 2 follows Akira as she returns to the countryside for high school with a foolproof plan to win the heart of her childhood crush, Hajime. Too bad they’re both fools in love!

Akira woos Hajime by sharing a homemade muffin, asking him to teach her how to ride a bike, and relentlessly rehearsing her script for how to converse with him. Hajime woos Akira by getting her contact info, asking her out to the summer festival, and… defending her from a swarm of kitty cats?!

In the end, will a romantic firework display do the trick…?

About the Author

Manga creator Shinta Harekawa grew up in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. The first manga she read, Rumiko Takahashi’s Ranma Β½, inspired her to begin drawing and led her to the discovery of Shonen Sunday magazine, where her series Akira Failing in Love now runs. Her series Senpai, This Can’t Be Love was adapted into a live-action series in 2022 in Japan, and her series Three Exorcism Siblings ran from 2021 to 2023 in Coamix’s Web Comic Zenon.
