Description
The death of reclusive Young Master Rourke sets in train a series of events that seem innocent but steadily add up to something much more sinister.
Jack and Jaide's father demands their help with a secret mission: to help find a lost golden card, the Card of Translocation, hidden somewhere inside the Rourke estate. He forbids them to breathe a word of the mission to Grandma X.
With the unlikely help of the talkative deathmask of a former Warden and an ancient macaw called Cornelia, who offers confusing clues in nautical lingo, Jack and Jaide infiltrate Rourke Castle to search for the Card. They must use their Gifts to find what they seek, despite the animated suits of armour united against them. However, once again, their superpowers prove frustratingly temperamental.
And once again there are questions the twins must find answers to before they can hope to quell the advance of The Evil. What really happened to Young Master Rourke that stormy night? Why is their father being so strange and secretive? And what does their bookseller friend Rodeo Dave have to hide?
