10 Things I Hate About Pinky by Sandhya Menon follows Pinky Kumar, a proud social justice warrior. From rescuing raccoons to supporting persecuted rockstars, no cause is too obscure for her to champion. However, a small part of her secretly enjoys making her conservative and buttoned-up corporate lawyer parents uncomfortable.

Samir Jha, on the other hand, possesses a few quirky habits from the time he took care of his sick mother. His meticulous lists and scheduled days provide the predictability and steadiness he values in life.

Pinky relishes her summers at her parents' idyllic Cape Cod lake house, but after enduring their complaints about her past poor boyfriend choices, she devises a plan. She decides to recruit her sorta-friend-sorta-enemy, a Harvard-bound Mama's boy, to pretend to be her ideal boyfriend for the summer.

Samir's summer goes awry when his expected internship falls through. He receives a timely text from Pinky, offering a proposition: pose as her fake boyfriend for the summer in exchange for a new internship opportunity. Although Pinky seems a bit eccentric, Samir accepts the challenge, anticipating the promising prospects that await him beyond the summer.

Throughout their bickering adventures visiting lighthouses and butterfly habitats, unexpected sparks begin to fly. Both Pinky and Samir gradually realise that this summer will leave a lasting impression on them both.
