About the Author
Robin Li Robin Li is the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Baidu. In 1991, Robin graduated from Peking University with a Bachelor of Science degree in information management. Thereafter, Robin completed his master's degree in computer science at the State University of New York in Buffalo. Robin worked as a senior consultant at a subsidiary of Dow Jones and designed the real-time financial information system for the online edition of Wall Street Journal. He then joined InfoSeek as a senior engineer. Robin holds a US patent for the hyperlink analysis technology, which is the foundation for the development of search engines. As a firm believer in technology, Robin is one of the early movers who is keenly aware of AI becoming a global trend, and he developed Baidu into a pioneer in the field. Currently, Baidu has become a leader in artificial intelligence, and its achievements in AI research and development and commercial applications have received global recognition.
Cixin Liuis a science fiction writer. He is a nine-time winner of the Galaxy Award (China's most prestigious literary science fiction award), winner of the 2015 Hugo Awardfor The Three-Body Problemand the 2017 Locus Award for Death's Endas well as a nominee for the Nebula Award.
