Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers - Revised Edition by Robert M. Sapolsky is an insightful exploration into the biological mechanisms behind stress and its impact on the human body. The book delves deep into the science of stress, explaining how our body's natural response to danger, which serves us well in acute, short-term situations, can become harmful when activated over prolonged periods.

With a blend of cutting-edge research and a generous sprinkling of humour, Sapolsky breaks down complex scientific concepts into digestible insights. He covers a wide range of physical and mental health issues exacerbated by chronic stress, such as depression, ulcers, colitis, and heart disease. Moreover, Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers - Revised Edition extends beyond just explaining the problem. It offers practical advice and techniques for managing one’s stress. From the importance of exercise and relaxation techniques to the role of social support, the book provides actionable guidance on reducing daily stressors and improving overall well-being.
