About the Author
Radostina Nikolova (1986) is a childrenβs book author and the owner of the publishing house Marmot Books. She graduated in English philology and holds two master's degrees β in journalism and in creative writing. She has received several Magic Pearl Children Choice Awards β for 2013, 2016, and 2019. Her books have been recognised as the βMost Read Seriesβ by the Sofia City Library in 2018, and in 2019, Radostina received the Children's Writer of the Year award, again from the Sofia City Library. Her books have been translated into English, Polish, Chinese, and Finnish. Currently, she teaches creative writing courses for children and travels across the country (and sometimes abroad) to meet with kids who want to learn more about her characters, and the magic of reading.
Yana Popova is an acclaimed childrenβs book illustrator, renowned for her captivating illustrations that bring stories to life. With a lifelong passion for art, she embarked on a creative journey that led her to specialize in childrenβs literature. Proficient in both traditional and digital mediums, she skillfully infuses her work with vibrant color palettes, creating immersive visual experiences for her audience. She has a knack for illustrating stories filled with humor, wit, and totally out-there situations. In her spare time, Yana finds inspiration in the exhilaration of extreme sports, the immersive world of video games, and the cultural richness of splitting her time between London, UK, and Sofia, BG.
