This story told in Kelsey’s own words, tells of Terror, Pain and Fear.
Some parts are so hard to read; some parts are hard to imagine. But, within the pages comes a story of a beautiful young survivor, not afraid to say it as it is.

This is an amazing book written by a stunningly gutsy young lass. It has an unusual format, that perfectly fits the occasion.
This is so well written and captivating that you'll read it in one sitting, then you'll likely muse over it for some days, as the sheer bravery of Kelsey stays in your mind.

I couldn’t put this down.
I finished the book within four days. It would have been faster but I have a toddler who occupies 95% of my time, so I can only read when he sleeps.
Kelsey’s story is harrowing and raw. I recommend buying a box of tissues when you purchase this book. But despite it being heartbreaking to read the ordeal she has experienced, it was also inspirational. I feel so lucky to have been able to read this and know a little bit about what her life since the eruption has been like.
This will probably be the only book I read this year, because I feel like anything else just won’t live up to this.

For most of us this truly is unimaginable, being at the epicentre of an eruption and being able to tell your story. Through Kelsey's book we come face to face with her story of the event and aftermath.

This is an incredible story of resilience and bravery; from the first few hours of survival to the years of hard mahi Kelsey and her family faced throughout her journey. I would love to meet this incredible lady one day, she is truly inspirational!
